The first photos I like to take are your wedding details. Some things that would count as your wedding details are things like jewelry that you will wear on the big day, wedding items such as flowers or stationary, or sentimental items from your family. If there is something special for either one of you I want to feature it. Details can be for both partners. Taking pictures of your detailed items encapsulates them forever in your wedding photo album and brings a sentimental touch. Having all of your detail items in a box makes it easier to photograph because it’s all ready and together. Here is a list of some specific items to consider for your details box.
Jewelry
Jewelry can bring class to your detail shots. The most important pieces obviously being the rings. Make sure to include engagement and wedding rings, and that they are clean as I will be taking close up shots of them. Some other jewelry items to include are anything that you will wear on the day of. This means necklaces, earrings, or anything of that nature.

Stationary
Another item you might want to consider for your details box is stationary. There is so much time and attention put into your wedding invitations, you don’t want to forget about them. You should have two invitations so I can get a picture of the front and back together. A few more things to consider for stationary are addressed unused envelopes, save the dates, and any ribbons, stamps, or seals you used to send them.

Flowers
Flowers are something that takes a lot of personality and color into your wedding and that’s something that deserves to be captured. You may want photos of bouquets or boutineers. You could also ask your florist for some of the extra flower clippings to add a little pop to your stationary photos.

Clothes
Clothing accessories are another touching piece you can add to your detail shots. Ties, shoes, clutches, or even a veil (although that wont fit in a box) are great and bring the mood.

Makeup
You can include certain makeup items in your detail shot. Any little thing you want to remember is the key. Lipstick, mascara, perfume, or cologne are all small things that may bring big feelings when looking back.

Vows
If you and your partner have decided to handwrite your vows, this is a really nice piece to add to your detail shots. Any handwritten vows are nice to get photos of, but if you wrote them on decorative paper or stationary you’ll definitely want to include them.

Sentimental Items
Any sentimental items that you haven’t already gathered, you’ll want to get together. Some examples are a handkerchief from your grandma, some earrings from your mom, or really anything that has a special place in your heart and your wedding.

If you have ideas of things you might want to include but you’re not sure how to work them in just reach out, I’m more than happy to help you get your box together for the perfect pictures!
