Chris planned the perfect surprise proposal for his girlfriend. Bri and Chris got engaged at Auditorium Shores in Austin on New Year’s Eve. Chris sent me an exact map location and described their outfits so I could locate them without revealing the surprise. They sat right on the edge of the river where a New Year’s fireworks show was taking place. Once they started shooting off the fireworks, I was able to move forward and take some beautifully candid photos of their engagement with the fireworks in the background.
We met up after at their hotel. Even though it was a late-night shoot, Bri and Chris were full of energy. I was able to capture their energy and joy in the photos I took in the hotel hallway. Then, we moved into the room, which Chris had decorated with balloons and rose petals. We finished the night with some cheerful and romantic photos as they toasted to their new engagement.
